Squid have mild flavor similar to shrimp and lobster. When preparing squid, it’s okay to Stir-fry it, but it is better to boil in warm water to make it tenderer and less chewy. This will ensure it absorbs some flavor before frying. Despite being firm, squid shouldn’t be cooked for long. The meat will become rubbery and tough if exposed to heat for a long time.
